Iron sulfate
What is Iron Sulfate?
Ferrous sulfate with chemical formula FeSO4.nH2O is a mineral (inorganic) substance.
In case of high acidity, it has light blue crystals and in case of low acidity, it has pale green crystals.
Ferrous sulfate is one of the most widely used iron compounds and is produced in two types of divalent and trivalent.
The most common type of divalent iron sulfate is ferrous sulfate, and the trivalent iron sulfate is ferric sulfate, represented by the chemical formula Fe2 (SO4) 3.
Crystalline ferrosulfate has 7 molecules of water in its crystalline structure and when it dries and loses water molecules, it turns into a white powder.
If iron sulphate is leached in the furnace, iron oxide and SO3 gas are produced

Due to rising iron prices as well as iron filings,
Production of ferrous sulfate from iron filings is less economical than in the past This has led some manufacturers to use welding mud or iron oxide shells produced by wire tension for production. Due to the need for a weak reaction of these materials with sulfuric acid, manufacturers are forced to lower the pH by injecting additional acid to help dissolve the product as much as possible.
